SUMMARY:Old Town Oyster Run 2022
DESCRIPTION:The race starts at the Bluffton Oyster Factory and winds through Historic Old Town Bluffton and along the May River. Compete in a fast-paced 10K or complete the 5K with the entire family! Both events will be professionally timed by the Palmetto Running Company.  \nThe Oyster Run is a part of the Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival. After you cross the finish line\, celebrate with other participants and friends at the After-Party and awards presentation immediately following the race.  \nRegistration Fees for the race are $30 for the 5K and $40 for the 10K.  \nPrices increase October 16th.  \nT-shirts provided for all participants registered by September 30th.  \nMedals presented to the top male and female finishers overall\, as well as top 3 finishers in each age divisions. Late registration and Packet pickup will be available on Friday\, Oct.21st at Palmetto Running Company from 3-5pm and race day at the Oyster Factory Park 7:00-7:45AM NO SAME DAY REGISTRATION. \nRun the race and join the party….then map out the rest of your day for food\, art and more fun at the Bluffton Arts and Seafood Street Fest that day in Old Town.

DESCRIPTION:There’s good news for local runners coming up this fall. Three local organizations have partnered to create a family-friendly 5k race series dubbed\, the “Beaufort Triple Crown.” \nThe series spans across 3 Saturdays in October. \nSaturday\, October 22nd\, 2022 | Flying Frog 5K: This unique course is on the runway at the beautiful Beaufort Executive Airport. This race supports the Altitude Academy\, a Lowcountry program dedicated to educating youth on aviation. Come run this unique race ON the runway at beautiful Beaufort Executive Airport. The race takes you around the hangars\, down the runway\, and up the taxiway. Awards will be by typical age/gender groupings. Walkers\, strollers welcome. T-shirts are included in advance registration (and as supplies last on race day registration).\nRegister for the Flying Frog 5k: bit.ly/FlyingFrog5k\n \nParticipants who complete all three races will be eligible for special series awards for best\ncombined time that will be awarded at the final race in the series. Individual registration and\nparticipation required for all three races to qualify. \n“We are thrilled to see three great organizations coming together to form the Triple Crown Race Series and we are excited to provide timing this year\,” Tim Waz\, owner of Grounded Running in Beaufort. \n“While every event we support is special in itself\, having three\namazing events in one month offers participants a unique new challenge to do all three.\nBeaufort continues to rank as one of the healthiest cities in America and we love supporting a\nlifestyle focused on physical fitness as a component of overall health and well-being.
