DESCRIPTION:It’s BACK! The MCAS Beaufort air show is coming back light up Beaufort sky next spring. Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort is scheduled to host nearly 100\,000 friends and neighbors at the MCAS Beaufort Air Show on Saturday and Sunday\, April 22nd & 23rd 2023. \nThere is no cost to the general public to attend the show\, however special seating and VIP tickets are on sale now. \nGET ALL THE INFO HERE \nThe show will showcase Naval aviation at its best with a demonstration by the United States Naval Flight Demonstration Team\, the Blue Angels. \nThe 2021 Air Show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “We look forward to April 2023\, as planning for the biennial MCAS Air Show has already begun\,” organizers said when the cancellation was announced last year.\n \nWe’re excited to welcome the Blue Angels back to Beaufort this spring. \nThe mission of the MCAS Beaufort Air Show is three-fold: to promote the Marine Corps and Navy recruiting efforts\, to demonstrate the full force and capabilities of our military and to say a big “THANK YOU” to all of the members of the surrounding communities who support the men and women who serve this nation and are stationed at the Beaufort Air Station and in the Tri-Command area. \nKeep up with the event on Facebook here.

This is a wonderful flat course that takes you along the moss-draped giant live oaks with beautiful views of the Intracoastal waterway. \nThe course is USATF Certified #SC18011DW \n5k is a run or walk for $20.00 and 10K is run only for $25.00. Walk ups will be available day of race. Packet pick-up and late registration at Live Oak Park on April 22nd starting at 7:00AM. Awards to overall Male and Female and top 3 in each age division. \nTiming is provided by Grounded Running Beaufort. Participants registered by April 10th will receive a free 67th Annual Beaufort Water Festival 5K/10K T-shirt. \nRegistration after April 10th\, and Walk up registration cannot be guaranteed a T-shirt.

Children deserve to have books! \nDANCE to THE CHIGGERS\nDINE with CELEBRITIES\nDONATE to CHARITIES for CHILDREN!\nA World Book Day event ticket buys you a seat at a table with a local\, national\, or international celebrity: authors\, artists\, athletes\, media personalities\, local heroes\, and much more! There will be 19 tables under a beautiful tent. Tickets are all general admission and cost $150 each. There are 8 seats at each table. Two seats will be filled with a celebrity and his or her guest. Part of the fun will be finding out who YOUR celebrity will be because our fabulous celebrities will draw their table number for the evening.\nEnjoy a delicious dinner and dance the night away to music by The Chiggers\, winner of 2020’s Best Local Band Award! 2020 was also the year that Libraries for Kids\, International won the local Chamber of Commerce award for Best Non-Profit. Winning that award was a tremendous honor\, but the Pandemic made it harder than ever to raise funds\, especially for a newly formed nonprofit. With a lot of hard work\, and some wonderful\, caring supporters\, we persevered and in just 3 years created more than 3\,000 libraries in rural areas of Kenya.\nBut there is much more to do! Kenya has over 6\,753 rural schools and approximately 1.5 million children with little or no electricity or internet. Our goal is to supply all rural Kenyan schools with a library. Looking ahead we have a waiting list of countries needing help and are collaborating with other non-profits to expand into Tanzania\, Uganda\, Rwanda\, and beyond.\nIt’s fun telling folks I’m the Chair of a Chamber award-winning Charity offering Chiggers and Celebrities for Children! Yes\, haha I’m “chamelessy\,” and cheerfully cheesy. Pretty soon I’ll probably start calling our honored guests “Chelebrities\,” and if you read this far\, you’ll know why.
