DESCRIPTION:Jiva Yoga Center and Hilton Head Running Co. are teaming up to produce our Mindful Triathlon – Hilton Head Island. \n$35 \nPLACE\nColigny Beach Park – Hilton Head Island\, SC \nDESCRIPTION\nThe MINDFUL TRIATHLON – Hilton Head Island\nBenefiting the Sea Turtle Patrol – Hilton Head Island \nWhat is the Mindful Triathlon? Its a FUN 5K your way – run or walk – just make it to the finish line. Followed by a 45 minute Yoga on the beach where you are certain to find your flow oceanside. And finally\, a 15 minute guided meditation and gong experience that will clear your mind\, relax your body\, and complete the mindful triathlon. \nPlease join us as we come together for a fun-filled and challenging experience for your mind\, body\, and spirit. The Mindful Triathlon is a family friendly (open to all ages and skill levels) event focused on wellness\, community\, and our beautiful natural environment. The event is not scored and no awards will be distributed – BUT\, everyone will get a T-Shirt. \nKIDS 12 & UNDER PARTICIPATE FOR FREE! \nLets get the kids in the flow! All kids 12 & under participate for FREE! \nWe want there to be no barriers for the kids to experience the incredible positive energy that the Mindful Triathlon offers. And\, we encourage parents to bring their kids and hope the experience is something the entire family can enjoy. \n** T-shirts are NOT included with the free entry for the kids 12 & under – but\, they are available to purchase for $20 during the registration steps.** \nGIVING BACK! \nWe are proud announce that this event will benefit the Sea Turtle Patrol Hilton Head Island. \nGENERAL INFORMATION \nEvent Date: Sunday – May 21st 2023- 8am \nEvent Site: Coligny Beach\, Hilton Head Island. \nArrival Time: Arrive at race site no later than 30min prior to start time. \nPacket PickUp: Sunday7:15a – 8a @ Morning of the event site \nRace Format: Mindful Triathlon (events will be held on the beach.)\n– Leg 1 – 5K Fun Run/Walk – This is a FUN 5K your way\, so don’t sweat it. Run or walk 🙂 Just make it to the finish line.\n– Leg 2 – Yoga (45min Beach Yoga Class) – After your run/walk roll out your mat or towel and find your flow Oceanside!\n– Leg 3 – Meditation (15min) – Then clear your mind\, relax your body\, and complete the mindful triathlon with a guided meditation and gong experience gazing out into the ocean. \nParking: There is ample parking across the street from the race site in the Coligny Beach Parking Lot – located just off of Pope Ave. – there are also parking spaces near the beach. \nWHAT TO BRING \nSince a Mindful Triathlon is something new and unique – we’ve offered some suggestions on what to bring to the event:\n– Run / Walking Shoes\n– Yoga Mat or Towel\n– Hydration – Water Bottle or sports drink\n– Sunscreen\n– Sunglasses\n– Hat / Visor \nHYDRATION? \nPlease bring your own water bottle to the event. We will have a filling station available for you to load up on hydration – but we will not provide cups. \nNCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN \nThe safety of our participants\, volunteers\, and staff is our paramount concern – and\, this concern shapes our decisions regarding inclement weather. Any decisions regarding the weather will be made the morning the event. We plan on producing a great event and we will be at the race site ready to do so. Should the weather pose any threat to safety – we will postpone the start of the event until the weather clears. If the weather does not cooperate after a reasonable amount of time\, we will make the decision to cancel the event. Any decision regarding rescheduling the event or entry credit to another event will be made as quickly as possible and be communicated via email to all participants. \nUNABLE TO ATTEND? \nWe do not mail race shirts to registered participants that are unable to attend the event.
