SUMMARY:Unclaimed Veteran Service
DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to join us for the service for Donald L. Brown and David R. Dickson. Both are US Navy and Vietnam Veterans who recently passed away without any family. \nThe service is scheduled to begin at 1pm on Tuesday\, October 3rd. We recommend that people wishing to attend arrive at least 15 minutes early. Staff will be positioned throughout the cemetery to provide instructions on where to park and then walk back to the committal shelter for the service. Accommodations will be made to allow the drop off and pickup of guests with mobility issues at the shelter. \nIf you have any additional questions about the service\, please contact the staff at Beaufort National Cemetery at 843-524-3925 or email us at Beaufort.NationalCemetery@va.gov.

DESCRIPTION:This month please welcome Hillary Gallup for a fun an informative presentation Many of you may already know her as a GreenDrinks regular.  \nMs. Gallop is the Education Coordinator for the Beaufort Soil and Water Conservation District\, where she coordinates and implements conservation related programs in Beaufort County Schools and throughout the community focusing on K – 8th grade. \nShe will talk about what a Conservation District is\, and what they do for the Lowcountry.  \nAs an added bonus\, 0BSWCD Field Agent\, Walter Mack\, will join her briefly to talk about the research he has been doing under a grant from The Nature Conservancy. \nHilary will end her presentation with a water-quality related activity.  \n As always we will have about 45 minutes of networking/ social time and then the presentation by our featured speaker.
