SUMMARY:Beaufort International Film Festival Opening Night Reception
DESCRIPTION:The Beaufort Film Society is pleased to present the 18th annual Beaufort International Film Festival (BIFF) February 20-25\, 2024. \nThe Opening Night Reception will be held on Tuesday\, February 20th at USCB Center for the Arts from 530 to 730pm. After the conclusion of the Reception\, attendees can enjoy a special concert: “Bubba’s Mama Sings the Blues” performed by Dr. Marlena Smalls and the Hallelujah Singers from 8pm to 9pm. Tickets are available here.\nAwards will be presented in the categories of Feature Film\, Documentary – Short and Feature Length\, Animation\, Short Films\, Student Films\, and Screenplays.  We will also have the Best Director\, Best Actress\, Best Actor\, Best Ensemble Cast and Best Musical Score categories. And the ever popular audience voted awards -Audience Choice and Best Comedy. \nScreenings will be held on Wednesday\, Thursday\, Friday and Saturday at University of South Carolina Center for the Arts located at 805 Carteret Street\, Downtown Beaufort. \nThis year\, a special Awards Presentation of the Pat Conroy Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to actor Gary Sinise on Saturday\, February 24th at 730pm\, and the overall Awards Ceremony on Sunday\, February 25th. Tickets available here. \nAlso\, Linda Lee\, President of the Carolina Film Alliance will be presented the Behind the Scenes Award during Sunday’s ceremony.
