SUMMARY:2024 Techstars_ Startup Weekend Beaufort
DESCRIPTION:Experience what it’s like to create a startup without quitting your day job while enjoying the coastal setting of Beaufort\, South Carolina. \nLearn how to think\, work\, and build like a startup in 3 thrilling days. You don’t need any experience in tech or the startup ecosystem. Just come with a collaborative spirit and be prepared to have fun and soak in all the knowledge about how to create your very own startup business. \nTechstars Startup Weekend is an exciting and immersive foray into the world of startups. Over an action-packed three days\, you’ll meet the best mentors\, investors\, co-founders\, and sponsors to show you how to get more done faster — and maybe even start that business. In addition\, participants will be eligible to compete for prizes up to $10\,000 in value! \nThere are 2 possible ticket tracks you may choose from:\n– Participant Ticket – This ticket type is for ” do-ers ” who plan on pitching their idea or joining a team to compete for prizes over the course of the weekend. Participants don’t have to have any prior experience and will be taught everything they need to know about how to form a startup. This ticket track is all-inclusive\, detailing all Friday night events (including dinner)\, Saturday workshops & 1-on-1 mentoring (including breakfast\, lunch & dinner)\, and Sunday workshops\, 1-on-1 mentoring\, final pitches and judging (including breakfast\, lunch & Lowcountry Supper).\n– Audience Ticket – This ticket type is for ” watchers ” who want to see what start-up weekend is all about\, but aren’t planning on participating as a startup team member nor competing for prizes. Audience members are invited to attend Friday’s opening night dinner and festivities and Sunday’s Finale Night with Lowcountry Supper\, pitches\, judging\, and awards on Sunday.\nBoth ticket tracks include a finale night\, including a catered dinner. \nThe entire event agenda is located at the bottom of our Eventbrite page. Choose the tab that aligns with your ticket type to view your schedule. \nWhat to Expect:\n– On the first evening\, our event facilitators will break the ice as you break bread and get to know your fellow attendees. Anyone who would like to pitch a startup idea is given 60 seconds to give it a go. Afterward\, participants who wish to get the full startup experience to vote on their favorite ideas and join their teams. Over the course of the weekend\, they will continue to meet up with their team as they attend workshops on building a business plan\, customer validation\, marketing\, and mastering their pitch. DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Wardle Family YMCA for a Puppy Plunge! \nOur outdoor pool will be open to dogs only during our Puppy Plunge events. You do not need to pre-register\, just show up the day of!  \n$10 per pup with all proceeds benefiting our Learn to Swim program. \nPlease note that dogs are not allowed in the building or on the indoor pool deck. Dogs will enter through the front gate and be contained safely inside our fenced outside pool deck. Owners must sign a waiver outside the gate before entering and must always stay with their dogs. Humans are not allowed in the outside pool. \nPuppy Plunge is weather dependent. If cancelled we will post on social media.

DESCRIPTION:Beaufort\, SC Community Easter event where 17\,500 plastic eggs will be dropped from a Helicopter on the Beaufort Academy Football Field!\nOn Saturday\, March 23\, 2024\, we invite the ENTIRE community to join us for the fourth annual Great Helicopter Easter Egg Drop.  \nWe’re dropping thousands of plastic Easter eggs from a helicopter…yup\, you heard that right – a HELICOPTER!\nPre-register your children to participate in one of FIVE age-specific egg hunts with over 17\,500 eggs!\n**PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE FIELD FOR AGES 4-11** If your child is 4 years or older or cannot go on the field without you\, please do not register.\nThe Great Helicopter Egg Drop will be held at the Beaufort Academy Football Field on Saturday\, March 23  from 9am until 2pm. Please arrive earlier than your scheduled egg drop time for check-in\, and to enjoy all of the great activities\, shopping\, music and food trucks. \nAdmission to the festival is FREE\, and open to the public.
