Make plans to run\, jog\, or walk at Martin Family Park on Sunday\, June 30th\, at 9 am. This is the first event of the Town’s Independence Day Celebration in Bluffton’s Historic District. Come back for the Independence Day Celebration pre-party at Martin and DuBois Parks and finish the evening with the Town’s fireworks displays at Oyster Factory and Wright Family Parks.  The pre-fireworks party is from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Martin Family Park. \nThis annual race\, in which strollers and dogs are most welcome\, will benefit the Mayor’s “Stay Safe\, Bluffton!” campaign and student scholarships.  he goal is to encourage mindful driving on Bluffton and Beaufort County roads and reward students who are safe driving ambassadors. \nThis 5K\, professionally timed by the Palmetto Running Company\, will also introduce the “Mayor’s Cup\,” a trophy that will reside at Bluffton’s Town Hall and list the female and male top race winners each year.  The Town hopes this sought-after award will help in the Town’s efforts to raise awareness of safe\, mindful driving throughout all ages in our community to reduce tragic vehicle incidents.  \nStart your Independence Day Celebration with this event and stay all day in beautiful downtown Bluffton. DESCRIPTION:The Town of Bluffton is hosting its 3rd Annual Independence Day Celebration on June 30\, 2024. The celebration will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a pre-party at Martin Family and DuBois Parks\, and the firework show will begin shortly after 9:00 p.m. \n• Carnaval\, interactive games: Games\, such as an inflatable axe and score-a-basketball- hoop\, will be available at Martin Family Park. Children will receive a patriotic-themed prize at each game station while supplies last. \n• Concessions: Food and drinks\, such as hotdogs\, pretzels\, snow cones\, and lemonade\, will also be available from a vendor at Martin Family Park. \n• Food Trucks will be available to purchase from. \n• Rock wall\, Bungee Jump Station & Bounce Houses: These stations will be located throughout and between Martin Family & DuBois Parks. \n• Fireworks: The firework display will begin around 9 p.m. The fireworks will be launched from a barge in the May River therefore\, the show can be viewed from Oyster Factory and Wright Family Parks. \nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/7453341981401494/
