DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 2nd Annual Chalk It Up! Beaufort Festival\, hosted by the Freedman Arts District. \nChalk It Up! is an immersive\, large-scale street painting experience. Professional and emerging visual artists create larger-than-life\, bold images in pastel directly on pavement for all to watch.  \nThis colorful celebration will also feature live performances by local musicians\, artisan craft booths and food & drinks. The festival is FREE and open to the public.  \nThis year\, we have a NEW VENUE and the Chalk It Up! Festival will take place in the parking area of Tabby Place in Downtown Beaufort. If you put 913 Port Republic Street\, Beaufort SC into Google Maps\, you can’t miss us! \nFriday\, March 28\, 5:30pm-7:30pm: Kicking off the event will be an Opening Reception inside Tabby Place. Additional information and a ticket link coming soon! \nSaturday\, March 29th\, 10am-5pm: Artists will begin Chalking it up on the pavement at our NEW VENUE! Trust us\, you don’t want to miss out on the Food\, Drinks\, Live Music\, and watching the artists create their masterpieces LIVE! \nSunday\, March 30th\, 10am-4pm: In addition to the Chalk Artists from Saturday finishing up their pieces\, local Middle and High School Art Class Teams will be competing for YOUR VOTE on their Team Art Squares! \nSunday\, March 30th at 5pm: Awards Ceremony – YOU will determine our winners by voting for your favorites! We truly love\, care\, and uplift each other as much as we can.  \nWith that said\, we are asking for some help!  \nWe would love to have you join us on March 30th for a community effort to put back some “Harmony in the Gardens” over time\, and weather\, we have lost some of our plant friends\, and it’s time to tidy up!  \nWe are adding in native plants\, and we hope to be able to continue to teach more about this\, after all\, this is a part to our beginning ❤️🙏🏽 \nPlease join us for 8-11 or 11-1 time slots! Or\, stay as long as you would like.  \nWe are looking for some items\, if you happen to have any!  \nFeeling vigorous and want to paint?
