DESCRIPTION:Beaufort National Cemetery is the 13th oldest national cemetery in the United States and is the final resting place for over 30\,000 veterans and eligible family members. Would you like to learn about some of the heroes buried here and their stories? Come join our cemetery walking tour. Volunteer docents will take you on a tour through the 162-year old cemetery and learn about our nation’s history through the stories of those who served and defended it. Tours start at the main flagpole. WARNING – It gets hot on the tour. Attendees are strongly advised to bring water and show up already hydrated.
