DESCRIPTION:Get ready for some fun again in the middle of the Beaufort River because the summertime blast on the sandbar is returning for another day of incredible live music. After being canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19\, 2021’s edition was a good one\, and now the Beaufort Sandbar Concert is returning to the Intra-Coastal Waterway once again. \nOn Saturday\, July 16th\, country music artist Pat Cooper is headlining another big show at the sandbar and will be bringing along other singer/songwriters with him. This summer’s fun will include performer Naomi Marchant opening the show.\n \nAs always\, the Beaufort Sandbar concert is completely free and open to the public…but it is only accessible by boat. Organizers (and Pat Cooper) are expecting a 1pm starting time for the show\, based on high tide coming\, with the concert to end a couple of hours later\, before the tide comes in. \nThe first sandbar concert was 7 years ago\, but it was canceled once\, making this the 6th event. For the past several years\, the concert on a borrowed barge in the water has been a huge hit drawing a big crowd that easily numbers in the thousands. \nIt’s events just like this one that help make Beaufort the awesome little town that it is. \nBring on summer.

DESCRIPTION:Kayak Tours of Jarvis Creek\nJarvis Creek Watersports\nTuesday\, Wednesday & Thursday\, 10 AM \nJoin a naturalist guide in a kayak exploration of Jarvis Creek.  \nPaddle through the salt marsh looking for bottle-nosed dolphins\, wading birds and other local wildlife. Jarvis Creek is a small creek in the north end of Hilton Head Island not typically visited by recreational boaters. The absence of fast-moving boats\, calm water and the many inlets and side creeks make it the ideal location to see wildlife.  \nGiven the physical requirements of this tour\, we do not allow children younger than 5 years of age to participate. Children ages 5 to 12 must be in a double kayak with an adult. \nCost is $40/Adult or $36/Child (ages 5-12 with an adult). DESCRIPTION:This will be a weekend on Morning Glory Homestead Farm making discoveries about the life of Dr. George Washington Carver\, his love of God and the Bible.  During the weekend families will spend two nights on the farm\, feed farm animals\,  gather eggs\, pick fruits and vegetables\, and participate in S.T. E. A. M. activities. There will be a special field trip to the nature center and beach at nearby Hunting Island State Park.   In the evenings\, we will build campfires\, prepare and enjoy a meal\, tell stories\, and sing songs together. \nFamilies join us for a time of Bible study about creation and nature on our farm. Dig deep in God’s word\, looking at biblical agricultural and farming practices as you explore the farm property\, the animals\, and the crops growing. Stay on the farm at one of our campsites or commute each day. \nA special part of the camp will be learning the importance of God’s word to many Gullah people.  We’ll read passages from the Gullah Bible and sing songs from the community.  You may also participate in games and activities\,sit around the campfire for evening devotions and singing\, help prepare meals in the Gullah tradition.\nSee our demonstration plots dedicated to the African diaspora and the plots inspired by the teaching of Dr. George Washington Carver.
