DESCRIPTION:The Town of Bluffton is proud to host its 51st annual Bluffton Christmas Parade\, Saturday December 3 at 10 a.m. through Bluffton’s Historic District.  \nThis parade\, which has been a part of the Bluffton tradition for more than five decades\, has grown exponentially parallel to Bluffton’s population. Due to the growth\, public and personal safety remains the event’s most important priority. Please note the new rules\, detailed in the Christmas Parade application\, to ensure safety for all.  \nHighlights of new parade rules:  \n•	Entries are first come\, first serve – please note there is limit of 125 entries for the 2022 parade. It is advised to submit your application as soon as it is completed.  \n•	The Town is asking parade entrants to give a donation to the Bluffton Lutzie 43 Charitable Fund\, in lieu of a parade entry fee. Your donation will help fund scholarships for Bluffton’s students as well as support the Town’s safe driving campaign\, to reduce/eliminate vehicle causalities and fatalities in our Town.  \n•	Please donate in an amount of your choice via:  http://cflowcountry.civicore.com/BlufftonLutzie43 \n•	The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry\, a non-profit organization\, manages these funds and donations are tax-deductible. \n•	Donating\, in lieu of an entry fee\, is an effort to streamline the application process and use the spirit of the Christmas Parade to help our neighbors remain safe year-around.\n•	Throwing of candy or any item from parade vehicle or float is prohibited. \n•	People are allowed to walk alongside the parade entry and distribute items to crowd. Please distribute candy/promotional items hand-to-hand by walking along the parade route next to the spectators. Spectators will not be allowed to run into the streets to grab items. \n•	Applications are due November 11\, 2022. DESCRIPTION:On Thanksgiving Day\, the Parish Church of St. Helena will host the 43rd Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner\, Thursday\, November 24th\, starting 1130am at the church’s Parish Hall at 507 Newcastle Street in Downtown Beaufort. \nAs always\, all are welcome. \nProviding a free Thanksgiving dinner for the community is one of the favorite traditions at the Parish Church of St. Helena\, with over one thousand traditional Thanksgiving meals served each year. DESCRIPTION:Thank you for your support of LowCountry Habitat for Humanity and our mission to build affordable housing in Beaufort. \nJoin LowCountry Habitat for Humanity for a FUN 5K Race on Thanksgiving morning in Downtown Beaufort.  Starting at 8am on Thursday November 24\, 2022\, on Bay & Newcastle Streets (in front of the Best Western).  Run through historic downtown Beaufort and across the famous Woods bridge following a certified 5K course.  \nPacket pickup will be available at Grounded Running located at 2139 Boundary Street\, Ste 108 Beaufort\, SC 29902 on Wednesday\, November 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Please note that T-shirts and sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after 11/1/2022.    \nRace Day registration/packet pick up: For runners that have not pre-registered\, registration will be available on the day of the race from 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. for $50.00.  Pre-registered runners may also pick up their packets at this time if they have not already done so. Registration / Packet Pick Up will close promptly at 7:45am to ensure the race begins on-time.     \nAge categories:  under 12\, 13-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+\nPrizes awarded to overall top three male and female and top three male and female in age divisions.   Awards are for in-person participants only.  We will determine closer to the race if awards will be presented in person.  If this is the case\, we will start awards PROMPTLY at 8:45am.   \nEvent is pet and stroller friendly.  Flexi-type leashes will not be allowed at the event.  Please have pets on a standard 4-6ft lead.  \nCourse:  The race start/finish line is on Bay Street in-between the Marina and Best Western at Freedom Mall.  Run down Bay Street and across Woods Memorial Bridge to Lady’s Island.  Turn Right at Meridian Rd and run down to Youmans Drive and double back the same route to Freedom Mall.  \nParking:  The closest address reference point for your GPS is the downtown marina parking lot: 1006 Bay St\, Beaufort\, SC 29902. You’ll want to make sure to plan out parking in advance as traffic is to be expected with the bridge blocked off for the race. Check Park Beaufort to plan out your parking.  \nPlease note that registration for this event and shipping fees are NOT REFUNDABLE.
