This article was written in 2019. There are NO July 4th festivities in Beaufort in 2020 due to COVID-19.
Locals and folks visiting the Beaufort area are again in for a treat as both the Town of Port Royal and Parris Island will be putting on their Independence Day Celebrations for the 4th of July.
After your done with the day full of boating, relaxing, barbecuing and having fun with family and friends, take your pick of a place to be for more fun and fireworks.
The festivities kick off at 5pm at MCRD Parris Island and everyone is welcome. Enjoy live music of the patriotic style with the Parris Island Marine Band along with food, drinks and more. A huge fireworks display is scheduled for right around 915pm.
Parris Island opens this up to the public so everyone gets to enjoy celebrating our nation’s independence where Marines are made. They just ask that you don’t bring in pets, coolers or any fireworks of your own. See more here.
The Town of Port Royal is hosting its annual 4th of July celebration at The Sands, right across Battery Creek from Parris Island.
The festivities at The Sands start at 5pm and you’ll enjoy recorded music, a live band with an emcee and food trucks on site providing good eats and drinks that will help combat the heat we usually have here in the Lowocuntry. No coolers are permitted and no pets are allowed, with the exception of service animals. See more here.
The fireworks at The Sands are put on by East Coast Pyrotechnics and will begin after the Parris Island Fireworks.
Yes, what better way to celebrate the 4th of July than two fireworks displays back to back? Each display is visible from the other and whichever spot you choose, you get to enjoy them both.
It’s a lot of fun and you won’t find a better place to enjoy a night of celebrating.
