Nothing beats a celebration in downtown Beaufort, SC and we’re happy to see that fireworks are returning to the downtown Beaufort waterfront on New Year’s Eve once again thanks to the Beaufort Area Hospitality Association and its annual New Year’s Eve Celebration.

What better way to ring in the new year than with a spectacular display of fireworks,” the association said in a Facebook post.

The event takes place on the Beaufort River, providing a stunning backdrop for the dazzling display of lights. The river is lined with historic buildings and iconic landmarks, adding to the charm and excitement of the evening. At 9pm colorful bursts of light will fill the sky, creating an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.

Fireworks in downtown are a special event. Each summer, the Beaufort Water Festival opens up its 10 day summer celebration with a fireworks display in downtown, and Port Royal always hosts them on Battery Creek for the 4th of July, and it’s definitely always nice to see the Woods Memorial Bridge lit up from the sky to celebrate the new year.

Make sure to make your plans to ring in the arrival of 2026 in Beaufort. The best spot to see the fireworks celebration is at downtown’s Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. They can also be enjoyed from other parts of the downtown area, from Lady’s Island, and from the northern end of Ribaut Road.

The New Years Eve fireworks celebration in downtown Beaufort is scheduled for Wednesday, December 31st at 9pm.
