Word from the owners of the new Herban Market and Cafe is that they’ll be opening up shop in July. We stopped by yesterday to take a look and the new spot is nearly ready to go and it looks fabulous inside!

A new business will soon be opening in the old Koth’s Deli & Grocery building next to the Santa Elena History Center just off of Bay Street.
Herban Market and Cafe is renovating the spot at 1601 North St and is expected to be open at the end of April offering organic coffees and teas, produce, smoothies and juice, along with a full service bakery and vegetarian cafe-style menu.
Owned by Emily Benson and Anya Chase, the new spot also plans to offer grab-and-go items as well as outdoor seating.
There are no ties between the now-closed Herban Marketplace in Uptown Beaufort and the new spot on North Street, according to Matthew Piper, who has been working on renovations.
