As Easter nears everybody in Beaufort SC is looking forward to finding the Easter Bunny for photos and to some springtime fun at an old fashioned community Easter egg hunt.

We rounded up a few local hunts, festivals and Easter events that are happening across the Beaufort area.

The fun kicks off early this season as Saturday, April 2nd brings the Great Easter Egg Helicopter Egg Drop at Beaufort Academy on Lady’s Island. 15,000 eggs will fall from the sky as your family enjoys food trucks, a spring market, face painting and a huge kids zone.

The, on Sunday, April 3rd you can venture into downtown Beaufort and enjoy the annual Easter Festival with the folks from Tidal Creek Fellowship at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. It’s a free event with tons of good stuff including an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, arts and crafts, a toddler bouncy area, snow cones, cookie decorating, a hair coloring station, Easter basket giveaways, popcorn and lots more.

On Saturday, April 16th, Community Bible Church at 638 Parris Island Gateway is hosting its annual Easter Eggstravaganza from 10am to 1pm with free egg hunts for children, train rides, contests, face painting, bounce houses, candy and plenty of food.

There’s lots of fun going on outside of town, too.

On Saturday, April 9th, the Town of Hardeeville is hosting it’s annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at the Hardeeville Recreation Complex from 9am to 11am. Attendees will enjoy  music, a huge egg hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny, free face painting, bounce houses and much more.

Hilton Head has a few spots for some fun, too. A free family event billed as “The Largest Easter Egg Hunt on Hilton Head” is being hosted at Grace Community Church with a HUGE Easter Egg Hunt with over 20,000 eggs that includes 25 eggs with special prizes. The event also offers free food, activities, games and kids crafts.

Also on Hilton Head,The Salty Dog is hosting an Easter Extravaganza that includes a Waterfront Breakfast on April 16th.

Meanwhile, back in Beaufort…. Every year, the Easter Bunny makes a visit to The Chocolate Tree in downtown Beaufort to meet area kids and take photos. This year, the Easter Bunny will be there, but hasn’t told them when he’s coming. Keep your eye out for the announcement on the Chocolate Tree’s Facebook page.

If we see more events popping up, we’ll add them to the list, and it always pays to keep your eye on our Event Calendar, too. If you know of any upcoming events, email us the news at info@explorebeaufortsc.com.

Happy Spring!
