Listening Party

One thing I’ve noticed while campaigning is that politicians spend a lot of time telling people what they’re going to do. But I don’t remember hearing many people stop and ask the community what it actually wants.

Sure, I have ideas, and I’m excited to share them. But what about yours?

How have we, as a community, created space for everyone to be heard?

I think one of the biggest reasons people become disconnected from politics is because they stop believing their voice matters. If people don’t feel heard, eventually they stop participating altogether.

That’s not the kind of community I want to help build.

This event isn’t about me giving another speech. It’s about giving you the microphone.

Whether you have concerns, ideas, frustrations, or a vision for Beaufort’s future, I want to hear it. Throughout this campaign, and if I’m fortunate enough to serve on City Council, I want people to know their voice has a place at the table.

My goal has never been to tell Beaufort what it needs.

My goal is to listen, help bring people together, and be the hammer that helps build our vision for Beaufort.

It’s time for something different.
