Beaufort Digital Corridor’s 10th Anniversary Celebration

Save the date. Beaufort Digital Corridor is turning 10.

A decade ago, a handful of people believed Beaufort could grow more than a tourism economy. What started as a public-private partnership between the City of Beaufort and a small group of local entrepreneurs, modeled after the Charleston Digital Corridor up the coast, became BASEcamp: a home base for founders, freelancers, and small tech companies right in downtown Beaufort.

Ten years, hundreds of members, and countless TECHconnect nights later, BDC is still doing what it set out to do: building a place where Beaufort’s knowledge economy can take root and grow.

This year also marks a new chapter. This summer, BDC welcomed new executive director AJ Jackson, who’s stepping in to carry the mission forward into its next decade.
