Unclaimed Veteran Committal Service

On Tuesday, September 15th at 1pm, the public is invited to join us at Beaufort National Cemetery for the unclaimed committal service for SA Kenneth Milligan, United States Navy, and his wife, Alice. SA Milligan is a Vietnam War era veteran. He and his wife passed away a day apart last July. He was 78. She was 65.

Unclaimed services occur when, due to one of a number of possible circumstances, there is no one to claim the remains of a veteran that has passed away. In each case, the VA steps in to ensure the veteran receives the burial benefit and military honors they are entitled to.

We encourage everyone planning to attend to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early and look for the staff who will be out providing parking instructions.
