The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department has issued a county-wide curfew for Beaufort overnight on both September 4th and 5th, beginning at 10pm, and ending at 6am due to Hurricane Dorian’s arrival in the area.
Also, according the the BCSD, in an effort to protect people and property, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department warns that law enforcement presence will be heavy during our evacuation and the entire Hurricane Dorian weather event.
Those choosing to stay behind and are out “joy riding” or loitering will be questioned by officers and further investigated using dash-cams and body cameras.
