You may actually need to trade in those shorts and flip flops this weekend because there’s some colder weather making its way south into the Lowcountry. Yes, cold weather is creeping into town.
As Arctic blasts march through the South and East on Friday and Saturday, they’ll be bringing the coldest temps of the season along with them.
Low temperatures will reach the mid 30s on Friday and Saturday here in the Beaufort area, and the high will struggle to get out of the mid 50s on Saturday, with Friday and Sunday having noticeably cooler high temps during the day as well.
The cold air blast will plunge into the Northern Plains on Wednesday, then will spread south and eastward into the rest of the Plains and Midwest on Thursday before reaching the South and East by Friday.
But, don’t worry, it won’t last long. By Monday, we can get our flip flops out again because our days will be back to the low 70s and we’ll resume our regularly scheduled beautiful fall weather here in Beaufort.
