In a ceremony last weekend, LowCountry Habitat for Humanity dedicated its 52nd home, located at 2523 Mossy Oaks Road, and officially turned over the keys of the new home to the Green family.

Just in time for Christmas, single mother Sabrena Green and her two daughters will be spending the holiday in their new home, just steps away from the elementary and middle schools both of the girls currently attend.

What a warm and blessed feeling that must be for the Green family. A new home at Christmas.

The home build was named the Faith Build because it was sponsored by several local Beaufort area churches. The land for the home build on Mossy Oaks Road was donated by the City of Beaufort.

This synergy between Lowcountry Habitat, the City of Beaufort and sponsors/volunteers turned a dilapidated playground into not one but two affordable homes for families in Beaufort.

The property right next door to this one was dedicated to another family on November 23rd.
