The Beaufort Water Festival has announced on Wednesday that, in keeping with a traditional country music theme, country singer Rodney Atkins will take the stage as the headline performer at the Concert in the Park on Saturday July 17th starting at 7pm. Opening for Atkins will be country entertainers Scott Stevens and Lainey Wilson.
This will definitely be another good one.
In a long country music career, overall Atkins has released six albums and has charted
five number one singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.
His latest album, Caught Up in the Country set a record for the longest run on the country singles charts with its title track spending 57 weeks on the charts.
Atkins has received six nominations from the Academy of Country Music and two from the Country Music Association, winning Top New Male Vocalist from the former in 2006.
The Beaufort Water Festival always brings big name talent to little Beaufort, and for that….we are always excited and always grateful.
This summer’s event runs from July 16th through July 25th.
