An outbreak like Coronavirus, or any natural disaster, can be devastating to small communities like Beaufort, SC. These individuals who work in and own small businesses may be forced to reduce staff and temporarily close their doors. Hunting Island State Park is now reopened as have boat landings and public access to waterways and fishing piers, and the Spanish Moss Trail is open and is an amazing spot to enjoy the fresh air of the outdoors while maintaining your social distancing. Plus, The Sands beach in Port Royal is open, as is all of Beaufort’s parks are open if the kids need to get out for a bit and work off some of that energy, of if a family picnic is the order of the day. (no playgrounds)
