Halloween is still happening all over the Beaufort area with COVID-19 adjustments made here and there along the way. Whether you’re looking to get spooked, enjoy a Halloween party or just grab a few treats with a couple of tricks (with or without the kids), here’s the haunting details you’ll need to have a spooktacular time.

Lots of folks still plan to be out enjoying traditional trick or treating. Trick or treating in Beaufort on Halloween typically starts at 6pm, with no official ending time that night. If you plan to trick or treat, please stay safe and have lots of fun. Whatever you plan to do, don’t forget to look up and check out the rare full moon on Halloween night.

Trick Or Treat

The City of Beaufort is not hosting its traditional downtown trick or treating events this year due to the pandemic and, instead, has switched things up with COVID-19 Halloween activities that include some drive-thru candy pick up opportunities. Halloween parties and happenings around Beaufort SC

On Halloween day from 2 to 4pm, you can bring your little ghost, princess or ghoul to the drive-thru candy pick up that will be set up in a few of the City of Beaufort parks where there will be a “goodie bag tent” stocked with to-go bags filled with sweet treats, fun trinkets and more. Participating parks include Henry C Chambers Waterfront Park marina parking lot area, Washington Street Park at 1003 Washington St., Southside Park along Southside Blvd. in Mossy Oaks, and Pigeon Point Park, located at 1521 Pigeon Point Road.

In conjunction with the City of Beaufort’s “Halloween Reimagined” theme, the Beaufort Police Department will be randomly handing out small bags of treats to children they see in costume, while out on patrol. Officers will be in the many apartment complexes and neighborhoods throughout the City.

Both the downtown Beaufort Branch Library and the St. Helena Library are giving out treat bags to the kids all day from 10am to 5pm. Costumes are suggested….because they’re fun!

The Port Royal Farmers Market will be handing out candy to all the costumed kids that come by on Saturday from 9am to Noon.

Halloween Parties/Grown-Up Fun

The Fillin’ Station on Lady’s Island is hosting a costume party complete with live music and prizes along with food and drink specials. (1st Place costume wins a brand new Yeti Cooler) Costumes are preferred, or at the very least wear a mask and have some fun on the expansive outdoor deck from 6pm to 11pm.

Moss & Hatchet in Beaufort Town Center is hosting a costume contest with prizes, music, dancing and axe throwing. After you enjoy festivities with your kids/family, keep your costume on and come join the party from 830pm until 11pm.Halloween parties and happenings around Beaufort SC

Glowcountry Mini Golf on Robert Smalls Parkway is hosting a costume contest from 9:30pm to midnight. Enjoy a round of golf with some candy, pizza and more. You can bring your own adult beverages along with you too, just as long as they’re not glass.

The Agave Mexican Grill on Ribaut Road is hosting a Day of the Dead celebration all weekend through Monday evening. Enjoy some live music and lots of drink specials. The staff will be wearing traditional [Mexican] Day of the Dead makeup and would love to see yours too.

Rosie O’Grady’s Pub in Beaufort Town Center is hosting a costume contest with prizes starting at 8pm. Winner gets a nice cash prize.

Other Family Fun

Glowcountry Mini Golf on Robert Smalls Parkway is hosting Golf & Ghouls. Brimg the kids in costume for a round of golf plus free face painting, candy, hot dogs and apple cider for one low discounted price.

The pumpkin patch at Dempsey Farms on St. Helena Island will be open on Halloween day from 10am to 3pm. Have some fall fun with tractor rides, a huge corn maze (that we got lost in) and pick the perfect pumpkin and some other veggies, too.
