The Beaufort area is full of fantastic restaurants and Port Royal’s Agave Mexican Grill was selected as one of the best Mexican restaurants in South Carolina in a recent online article by online magazine, Only In Your State.
“South Carolina is a melting pot of international cuisine,” the article said. “We have a massive treasure trove of talented chefs to thank for making South Carolina such a great place to venture beyond our own kitchen for a meal.”
“Let’s take a look at some great restaurants in the Palmetto State that have some Mexican food that’ll blow you away,” it added.
While Beaufort is home to more than ten locally owned Mexican Restaurants, the web magazine chose Agave and put them in the #7 spot based on reviews and patron comments.
“Agave Mexican Grill is a delicious alternative to all the seafood fare you’ll find in Beaufort. Reviewers love the tacos and speak highly of the service.”
Other locals on the list are Holy Tequila on Hilton Head landing in the 6th spot and Taqueria Rocio in Ridgeland at #11.
We’ve enjoyed Agave several times, personally, and want to congratulate it’s staff on getting some of the recognition they deserve.
