The 65th annual Beaufort Water Festival is a GO for 2021! Opening ceremonies start July 16th and the festival will run through July 25th.

While nobody can guess what the festival will look like with COVID safeguards, etc, we’re just glad to see it return and give us all some semblance of relative normalcy.

The Island News spoke with this year’s Commodore, Erin Morris, and he confirmed everything. Read the article and get all the info here.

It’s been a rough go over the past 13 months, but we’re so happy to finally see Beaufort’s premiere festival returning this summer after last year’s cancellation.

We also hope to see the return of Beaufort’s other festivals. We also miss the Soft Shell Crab Festival in Port Royal, the Beaufort Shrimp Festival, the annual Gullah Festival too.

Port Royal has not made any announcements yet, but it may be to early in the year and too close to COVID-19 being under control to have the Soft Shell Crab Festival in its usual April time slot, but the Gullah Festival is always on Memorial Day weekend and the Shrimp Festival doesn’t take place until October….so we’re all keeping our fingers crossed.

See y’all in July 2021 at the Annual Beaufort Water Festival.
