Winter time is a great time to get outdoors here in the Lowcountry and one of the season’s most enjoyable community events is just around the corner at the upcoming 7th annual Chilly Bean Run 5K/10K and Chili Brewfest.
Always held on the Saturday before Super Bowl Sunday, this year’s race will be on Saturday February 1st, 2020 at 10:30am at the beautiful Coosaw Point neighborhood on Lady’s Island in Beaufort SC.
The day also offers a Chili Brewfest party afterward with chili and beer, live music, and lots of fun for the kids.
Participants can choose between 2 USATF certified distances to enjoy a 5k or 10k meandering through the gorgeous live oaks at Coosaw Point, with walkers, runners, families, kids and dogs all encouraged to participate.
Known for its after-party, the Chilly Bean Run & Chili Brewfest will once again feature a live DJ, live music and all you can eat chili cooked by pro chefs from local restaurants.
Craft beer, kids plates, and other concessions available for sale to always make sure there is plenty to eat and drink for everyone.
All participants get a free ticket to the chili after party, and runners over age 21 receive a free recovery beer afterward.
Race day registration starts at 830am.
Over the past three years, the pet-friendly race sold out at over 500 runners, and based on current registrations, organizers are expecting another sellout. To ensure you don’t miss out, it’s recommended that you preregister for the race at Runsignup.com
