On the heels of a successful event last September and the successful and popular annual Beaufort Sandbar Concert….locals are again bringing another free movie night coming to the Beaufort Sandbar.
On Saturday, May 30th, organizers are hosting another event and this time they’re adding a “booze cruise” to the day of fun. The cruise covers the Sands in Port Royal, Archers Creek, the Broad River and Cotton Island, ending where it started, with a family movie at the Beaufort Sandbar.
Organizers Jen & Erik Peterson have changed it up a bit this year for folks who want to distance themselves during the movie. In addition to the giant projection screen, they’ve made it so that attendees could watch the movie from their own boats.
“We’re doing things a little different this year,” they said in the event on Facebook. “To allow for audio capability from your boat we will be transmitting via FM radio.”
Low tide will be at 1030pm.
“Come and join us for a movie night on the sandbar the Saturday after Memorial Day and bring your chairs to watch a movie while the sandbar is showing.”
The featured movie is yet to be determined.
