Battery Creek Jam 4th of July concert canceled

The all day concert featuring multiple bands including Drivin N Cryin on the 4th of July at The Sands in Port Royal has been canceled.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday morning, The Port Royal Community Beer Garden made the announcement. (see at bottom of article)

“We are sorry to hear Rock Block Entertainment has cancelled their portion of the Independence Day Celebration. The good news is Port Royal festivities are still a go.”

In addition to the Town of Port Royal’s annual festivities and fireworks, there will still be live music at The Sands in the Beer Garden with Zach Deputy.

According to the Town of Port Royal, free parking on Paris Avenue and side streets will be available and the Road to the Sands landing will be shut down effective midnight prior to the 4th of July for all traffic including boats with trailers. 7th Street will also be closed to all traffic except for residents that live on that street.

Food and beverage will be available beginning at noon. Parking on Paris Avenue and side streets will be free to the public. Handicap parking will be available and directed to by Town police officers.

The town’s fireworks display typically begins around 915pm.
