Beaufort area festivals returning in full swing
The Beaufort Shrimp Festival is one of several festivals returning to the area in September & October.

After a very successful 65th Annual Beaufort Water Festival in July, Beaufort’s festivals are returning to the Lowcountry in full force.

Recent announcements have been made that our annual Octoberfest celebration is returning to Port Royal next month, and the popular Beaufort Shrimp Festival will be bringing thousands of people to our lovely downtown Beaufort waterfront to enjoy a few days at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. In addition, the Historic Beaufort Foundation has announced the return of its popular Fall Tour of Houses & Gardens and the Lowcountry Jaycees are planning the return of the Beaufort Food Truck Festival on October 9th.

We’re glad to have them back, and we’re sure you are too.

That’s because we enjoy having fun here in Beaufort SC.

We’re a very happy town that enjoys sharing a fantastic time with our neighbors, and proof of that is the wealth of community festivals hosted here in the area each year (when there’s not a pandemic, of course). Plainly put, Beaufort SC is a town full of fun community festivals.

In a town with so much history and tradition, we celebrate everything from the water, to food, and our history and our culture…all things that contribute to making up the wonderful area that we call home.

Plus, our festivals bring folks in from our of town in droves….and some of them never leave.

That’s because it’s very easy to fall in love with Beaufort once you’re here and get to see all that it has to offer.

The OktoPRfest celebration is scheduled for September 25th, and the Beaufort Shrimp Festival is scheduled for Friday & Saturday, October 1st and 2nd.

The annual Fall Festival of Houses & Gardens tour of historic homes is scheduled for October 22nd through the 24th.

Also, our neighbors are starting to bring back the fun. The popular 2-day Yemassee Shrimp Festival is on September 17th & 18th and the annual Boiled Peanut Festival returns to Bluffton on September 11th.
