Beaufort County is closing its government buildings to the public again. Beaufort County Government leaders remain concerned about the health and well-being of our residents and staff as we continue to encounter a rapid rise in COVID-19 infections locally.
Due to the current rate of exposure, all County buildings will again be closed to the public starting at 8 a.m. Friday, July 17, until further notice.
County operations will continue as they had prior to Beaufort County buildings reopening in June, with limited staff who will conduct internal and external business by telephone or email as much as possible.
According to the County press release, all Convenience Centers will remain open according to their normal operating schedules for now.
Operations at the Hilton Head Island Airport and Beaufort County Airport will remain available. Travelers should contact their airline carrier for questions about flight schedules. Information on the operating status of the nation’s major airports can be found at www.fly.faa.gov. Inquiries regarding flight information at Hilton Head Island Airport should be directed to American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, or United.
