Beaufort SC just did it again. Our little Lowcountry town was named the Most Charming Small Town in the South by popular travel website BigSevenTravel.com.
Beaufort SC has recently been called pretty, the cutest, quaint, the most beautiful and the best.
Charming? What exactly does “charming” mean?
According to Webster’s Dictionary, the definition of charming is “extremely pleasing or delightful : entrancing”
Well, ok. They sure got it right.
In placing Beaufort SC at the top of its list, the website said, “Beaufort, South Carolina is one of the most charming southern small towns in the US for its rich history and coastal flare. In fact, we’re calling it: it’s the most charming!”
“It’s the absolute perfect place to dive into southern culture whether it be their food scene or historical center. Take a stroll down their centuries-old downtown or pop into any one of their several boutiques and you’ll see why it’s the most charming small town in the South.”
The accolades have been coming Beaufort’s way lately….but they usually do.
It’s virtually impossible to name all the Top Lists and Number Ones that Beaufort has received recently. Our little town sure is getting the recognition that it deserves.
In the past few months, Beaufort has been picked as One of the Cutest Towns in the U.S.; named the Best Small Town in South Carolina; chosen as the Most Quaint Town in South Carolina, named the Most Patriotic in SC and even our beloved Hunting Island was named as One of the Best State Parks in the South, a well deserved title because it’s an amazing barrier island with a beautiful strand of natural beach.
