Hey y’all. Beaufort did it again. Beautiful Beaufort, SC was just named among the Most Beautiful Coastal Towns in the South by Southern Living magazine in its recently published article, “The 15 Most Beautiful Coastal Towns in the South.”
No, we weren’t #1.
We can’t always be #1. But, coming in at #4 isn’t bad at all.
Beaufort is in some really good company on the list, as well.
The top ten are:
- Fairhope, AL
- Wilmington, NC
- Ocean Springs, MS
- Beaufort, SC
- Southport, NC
- St. Michaels, MD
- Charleston, SC
- Rockport, TX
- Cape Charles, VA
- Beaufort, NC
Also on the list, coming in at #13 is Georgetown, SC.

“Want to see the beach?,” Southern Living asked. “The 25-minute drive to Hunting Island State Park is more than worth your time.”
It’s good to be consistently included among the best, but this isn’t really that much of a surprise if you’ve ever visited Beaufort, SC.
The accolades really have been pouring in for Beaufort recently, and we couldn’t be more proud.
Just last month, Southern Living named Beaufort the #1 Best Small Town in all of South Carolina.
Recently, CNN named Beaufort one of the Best Small Towns in America.
