The Beaufort Sandbar concert organizer says the show is still on. The 5th annual concert in the middle of the Beaufort River with country music artist Pat Cooper is scheduled for July 18th, and with South Carolina starting to ease its covid-19 restrictions, on Tuesday Cooper said the show “is still a full on go.”

A Facebook post by Cooper says, “we are in constant communication with SCDNR and as long as the state of SC reopens as planned/uplifts all social distancing – DNR is going to approve it. As of now, we plan to keep the party going for year 5!”

As always, the Beaufort Sandbar concert is completely free and open to the public…but is only accessible by boat. Organizers are expecting a noon starting time for the show, based on the tides being just right.

For the past four years, the concert on a borrowed barge in the water has been a huge hit drawing a big crowd that easily numbers in the thousands.

S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster has started lifting some of the restrictions across the state beginning on May 4th. The governor lifted the Home or Work order, lifted the restriction on short term rentals and allowed restaurants across the Palmetto State to reopen for outside dining.

Many expect the trend to slowly continue.

And, we’re pretty sure that many hope to attend the concert at the Sandbar. Lots of fingers are crossed all over the Beaufort area.
