Local area music fans can catch another concert from the comfort of their own vehicles when the Highway 21 Drive In hosts another big show on Saturday, July 25th. This time it’s Blake Shelton, along with fellow artists Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins teaming up for drive in concert.
Hitting at least 300 drive-ins at the same time, the show will be aired on the big screens at the Highway 21 Drive In here in Beaufort on Saturday, July 25th.
As large concert venues and arenas remain shut down amid the coronavirus pandemic, a creative solution to fill the live music void has emerged: drive-in concerts.
It started with country superstar Garth Brooks, who last month brought a special filmed concert to 300 drive-in theaters across North America, and made lots of people happy in the process.
Inspired by the success of Brooks’ event, Shelton’s upcoming concert, produced by Encore Live!, launches a concert series — a summer-long event that features “all-new performances” and “cinematic interviews and storytelling,” according to a news release.
“This is such a great way to enjoy music with your family and friends and stay safe,” Shelton said in a news release.
“I’m excited we’re getting the chance to perform a concert for fans, and we’re going to go back and play old hits like ‘Austin,’ newer songs like ‘God’s Country’ and we might even introduce something brand new! So fill up those popcorn tubs and get ready for some country music!”
In addition to the performances from the three talented artists, the one-night-only show will feature interviews with Blake, Gwen, and Trace, along with a touch of storytelling.
Tickets go on sale Monday, July 14th, at noon. Gates will be open for the July 25th concert at the Highway 21 Drive In at 6pm.

The popular old fashioned concession stand at the drive in will also be be open during the concert for all of your food and beverage needs.
The exclusive concert will adhere to guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as all state public health mandates.
