We all know there are tons of things to do here in the Lowcountry and to show some of those things off Coastal Living Magazine has published an article picking ten things to do when you’re visiting Beaufort.
Beaufort is “brimming with beauty and year-round activity. While you’re in town for a tour, consider adding these blissful to-dos to your itinerary,” Coastal Living said before it went on to name the following ideas….
1. Enjoy a Festival
2. Give your wallet a workout in downtown Beaufort
3. Visit Hunting Island and climb the lighthouse
4. Stay at the Anchorage 1770 (good choice!)
5. Explore the Habersham Community
6. Take a boat tour (see Beaufort by water, good idea. We’re surrounded by it!)
7. Pound the pavement in downtown, the waterfront, the beach or the boardwalk in Port Royal (another good idea. Beaufort is a very walkable area)
8. Eat, Eat, Eat (we have lots of awesome local restaurants, too!)
9. Brush up on history (that’s easy, Beaufort was settled some 500 years ago and has been a city for over 300 of them)
10. Get your feet wet
