Coastal Smoothie opened its doors last week giving locals another good spot to enjoy in downtown Beaufort.
The new sandwich shop at 209 Charles Street, less than a stone’s throw away from Bay, offers a wide variety of quick-made wraps, sandwiches and homemade fruit smoothies to satisfy locals and visitors on-the-go. All fresh and made to order.
“We serve 100% real fruit smoothies with a yogurt-milk base,” said co-owner, Zack Manley, who also owns the area’s Cracked Egg restaurant locations. “With the variety we have on our menu, there’s something here for everyone.”
Coastal Smoothie comes with coastal names on the menu, too.
Smoothies named Broad River Sunset and Blue Heron can be found among the offerings as well as a Coastal Club sandwich. (we strongly recommend the Peach Pie smoothie)
Wrap options include a chicken salad wrap, the Sweet Burdy and a veggie wrap, in addition to others.
As a side to your wrap or sandwich, we totally recommend the homemade macaroni or potato salad. It tastes like summer and reminds us of grandma. You’ll see what we mean.
“Our smoothies don’t have syrups or powders, and for the health-conscious we offer additional options as well,” Manley added.
Yep, you can even create your own smoothie by mixing from dozens of combinations and even go healthy by choosing to add from a variety of healthier options including kale, acai, avacado, almonds or ginseng, just to name a few.
A welcome addition to Beaufort, there’s little doubt that visitors to town will enjoy a cold smoothie on a sweltering Lowcountry summer day and locals have picked up another top quality lunch or anytime spot to choose from in downtown.
