Update: Coastal Smoothie plans to open its doors next week in downtown Beaufort. Look for a soft opening on Monday or Tuesday.
Check out the menus….and see the original article below for more information on the new downtown Beaufort SC eatery.
A new locally-owned spot will soon be opening on Charles Street in downtown Beaufort offering smoothies, sandwiches and more.
Coastal Smoothie will be opening this spring (next week actually) at 209 Charles Street, in the former home of Marketplace News, adjacent to the lot and building at First Citizens Bank on Bay Street.
“We’re going to serve 100% real fruit smoothies with a yogurt-milk base,” said Coastal Smoothie’s owner, Zack Manley, who also owns the area’s four Cracked Egg locations and is opening another this spring in the old KMart building at Beaufort Town Center.
“Our smoothies will not have syrups or powders, and for the health-conscious, we’ll offer kale, protein, multivitamin options as well.”
As for the sandwich side of the new spot, Manley tells us that the menu will consist of a variety of wraps and sandwiches, in addition to other offerings.
Manley is co-owner of the new restaurant along with David McElhaney. David also owns Wayback Burgers at Beaufort Town Center.
A welcome addition, there’s little doubt that visitors to town will enjoy a cold smoothie on a sweltering Lowcountry summer day and locals are picking up another lunch spot to choose from in downtown.
We look forward to the opening.
