Ashley Walker, the Farm Network Manager
of the Gullah Farmers Cooperative will be our presenter in February.
Located on St. Helena Island, the Gullah Farmers Cooperative members grow fresh food on the Sea Islands and coastal counties of South Carolina.
“Our mission is to establish a profitable local food market for Gullah Farmers who are honoring and continuing agricultural traditions by growing fresh produce for our communities, and cultivating land access for the next generation of farmers.”
The
Open Land Trust (OLT) and Gullah Farmers Cooperative
are working together with a grant from the American Farmland Trust dealing with working with farming families to keep land in the family and helping families stay on the land.

We gather at around 5:30 pm, enjoy networking,
happy hour & social time, then at 6:15pm there’s a 20 minute presentation by our featured speaker.
Shellring’s resident food truck, RevolveR, will be serving up street style bites from their
constantly evolving menu.
