WHO: Elena De Marco

Elena is the Visual Information Specialist for Reconstruction Era National Historical Park and Reconstruction Era National Historic Network. In her role, she works with the team to create exhibits, publications, web and social media content to interpret the Reconstruction era (1861-1900) to the public. In 2024, the team worked with Morehouse College Intern Christian Harvey to research, write, and design an exhibit that uses the Sea Islands as a case study for national Reconstruction. “Lay of the Land” opened to the public in November of 2024 at the Old Firehouse Visitor Center in downtown Beaufort.
