PAINTING MAGGIE: THERE IS HOPE IN TOGETHERNESS
Maggie Haagensen is an adventerous, bubbly local 8 year old who is standing strong against cancer. She has created her own “Maggie’s Amazing Adventure” list and has a dream of checking things off of her list before she goes into hospice care.
The Gullah Art Gallery/Museum would like to invite all local artists to recreate the image of this beautiful little girl as seen in the poster below.
An exhibition of finished works will be held on April 15th, and visitors are invited to vote on their favorite piece, which will then be donated to the Haagensen family.
This is a charitable event to bring awareness about Ewing Sarcoma, and to show compassion and support to the Haagensen family while they try to manage this life-limiting illness.
For more information on artist submissions, or to find out how you can help Maggie’s family, please call 843-986-1102 ext7.
RECEPTION: APRIL 15TH, 5PM – 7PM
