SC Adopt-a-Stream Saltwater Monitoring Workshop

South Carolina Adopt-a-Stream (SC AAS) is a statewide volunteer water quality monitoring program. SC AAS volunteers can play an important role in monitoring tidal saltwater waterways while sharing information about local water resources with their communities.

This workshop will certify individuals to become SC AAS volunteers who choose to adopt a tidal saltwater site. Attendees will learn how to collect water samples and test basic core parameters. Volunteers are encouraged to sample a tidal saltwater site monthly to establish valuable data on baseline conditions of your waterbody.

The workshop includes in-class instruction and field instruction. Bring a lunch and water, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes for both the classroom and the field portion of the workshop.
