We are very excited to be hosting our upcoming Annual Meeting on January 13th and 14th at The Port Royal Sound Foundation Maritime Center just outside of beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina. Over the course of the weekend we will have great presentations lined up, delivered by incredible local herpetologists and researchers on research, conservation, and education of South Carolina’s reptiles and amphibians. We will hold our Annual Business meeting where you can help direct the future of SCPARC. And we will also be hosting Social Hours and Field Trips to explore great spots for local herps with fellow herp enthusiasts, educators, and researchers.
Doors will open at 8:30am on Saturday, January 13th for a meet and greet and coffee social. Then we will get straight into presentations beginning at 9am! Lunch is included on Saturday afternoon, followed by a poster session, and afterwards we will head out into the field to find local reptiles and amphibians at some great spots in Beaufort County. That evening we will host a social hour at a local brewery where attendees can chat and discuss all things herpetological!
Sunday morning will be packed with more great presentations followed by an SCPARC Annual Business Meeting. We will end the day with another trek out into the field to observe any reptiles or amphibians that may be moving around this time of year.
