The Road of Remembrance – Youth Play at Heritage Days

As part of the 42nd Annual Penn Center Heritage Days Celebration, the community is invited to experience Black Moses on the Combee, a powerful youth performance honoring Harriet Tubman and the historic 1863 Combahee River Raid.

Through music, storytelling, and movement, local youth will bring to life the remarkable courage of Harriet Tubman and the enslaved people whose journey to freedom remains an enduring part of Lowcountry history.

This special presentation reminds us of the importance of preserving our history, sharing our stories, and passing the legacy of resilience and liberation to future generations.
