Beaufort County Stormwater has begun its Brewer Memorial Park project on Sea Island Parkway, Lady’s Island, adjacent to Factory Creek Fishing Pier. A silt fence has been erected near the fishing pier which may give the impression the landing is closed.
The entire Factory Creek Boat Landing and fishing pier remains open to the public and is expected to remain open for the duration of the project.
Construction at the park is expected to continue for the next two months. Upon completion, the park will showcase different low impact stormwater treatment options and treat stormwater runoff previously left untreated for pollutants.
The end result….cleaner waterways in and around Beaufort SC.
