The weekend is here and it’s finally time for the annual Taste of Beaufort festival in downtown Beaufort.

This is the weekend that Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park turns into a foodie’s paradise as over a dozen local restaurants gather in the grass to cook up some of their best Lowcountry cuisine.

Complete with live music and other entertainment, arts & crafts vendors and a morning 5K run/walk,this year’s Taste of Beaufort will stay true to the tradition of being a fun-filled weekend.

There’s definitely something in it for everyone.

This year’s festival will include an additional bite – a series of intimate music performances with a different act hitting the stage nearly every hour from 1pm through 6pm on Saturday.

Admission to the event at Waterfront Park is free and festival goers can purchase tickets for $1 to use at food and beverage vendor booths.

If you’re looking forward to the food, you’ll always find plenty of it including local seafood everywhere.  Festival-goers enjoy the smell of fresh grilled shrimp in the air while savoring local favorites including shrimp & grits, crab cakes and lots more.

The 2019 Taste of Beaufort Festival Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday at 8am starting on Bay Street, and the Arts & Crafts Market is open on Friday from Noon until 6pm and again on Saturday from 10am until 5pm.

This year, the winner of the foodie event will receive a new Golden Fork Award. We wonder who that will be?

Join the community at the park for the festival and get a taste of some of the best that Beaufort has to offer.

Oh….and make sure you come hungry.
