Local area Garth Brooks fans can soon watch the country legend perform live from the comfort of their own vehicles when the Highway 21 Drive In hosts a simulcast of the country music star’s drive-in concert experience next week.
Hitting at least 300 drive-ins at the same time, the show will be aired live on the big screens at the Highway 21 Drive In here in Beaufort on Saturday, June 27th.
“This drive-in concert allows us all to get back to playing live music without the uncertainty of what would be the result to us as a community,” Brooks said in a statement. “This is old school, new school, and perfect for the time we are in.”
Brooks’ team promised the show would be one-of-a-kind. The concert, filmed exclusively for this event, will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience as the largest ever one-night show to play at outdoor theaters across the United States and Canada, hitting at least 300 drive-ins including ours here in Beaufort.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 19th, at noon. Gates will be open for the June 27th Garth Brooks Drive In concert at the Highway 21 Drive In at 6pm. The popular old fashioned concession stand at the drive in will also be be open during the concert for all of your food and beverage needs.
The exclusive concert will adhere to guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as all state public health mandates.
Brooks had planned to continue touring stadiums this year before the coronavirus pandemic changed everything. During the shutdown, Brooks and his country star wife Trisha Yearwood have reached fans through their social media platforms, often singing together.
