Halloween is still happening all over the Beaufort area with COVID-19 adjustments made here and there along the way. Whether you’re looking to get spooked, enjoy a Halloween party or just grab a few treats with a couple of tricks (with or without the kids), here’s the haunting details you’ll need to have a spooktacular time.
Lots of folks still plan to be out enjoying traditional trick or treating. Trick or treating in Beaufort on Halloween typically starts at 6pm, with no official ending time that night. If you plan to trick or treat, please stay safe and have lots of fun. Whatever you plan to do, don’t forget to look up and check out the rare full moon on Halloween night.
Trick Or Treat
The City of Beaufort is not hosting its traditional downtown trick or treating events this year due to the pandemic and, instead, has switched things up with COVID-19 Halloween activities that include some drive-thru candy pick up opportunities.
On Halloween day from 2 to 4pm, you can bring your little ghost, princess or ghoul to the drive-thru candy pick up that will be set up in a few of the City of Beaufort parks where there will be a “goodie bag tent” stocked with to-go bags filled with sweet treats, fun trinkets and more. Participating parks include Henry C Chambers Waterfront Park marina parking lot area, Washington Street Park at 1003 Washington St., Southside Park along Southside Blvd. in Mossy Oaks, and Pigeon Point Park, located at 1521 Pigeon Point Road.
Both the downtown Beaufort Branch Library and the St. Helena Library are giving out treat bags to the kids all day from 10am to 5pm. Costumes are suggested….because they’re fun!
The Port Royal Farmers Market will be handing out candy to all the costumed kids that come by on Saturday from 9am to Noon.
