With hurricane season about three months away, here are the hurricane names for the potential storms in 2020.

Forecasts predict that the 2020 hurricane season wonโ€™t be as active as the last few years when storms named Dorian, Harvey, Irma, Florence and Michael were among the most powerful to make landfall in the Southeast US.

Predictions are for a normal season with 5 to 7 named hurricanes forming this year in the Atlantic.

Hurricane season in the Atlantic begins on June 1 and lasts through November 30.ย  Last year, the first named storm of the season formed before the start date, so it’s a good idea to be prepared ahead of time.
