Select Publix stores across the state of South Carolina will begin appointment-only vaccinations for COVID-19. Starting Tuesday, January 19 after 6am, eligible customers can access COVID-19 vaccine appointment availability beginning Wednesday, January 20.

The list includes two locations in southern Beaufort County including the location at Bluffton Commons at Belfair in Bluffton, and Festival Centre at Indigo Park on Hilton Head.

Following S.C. guidelines, vaccinations can be administered to health care workers, individuals ages 70 and older, residents and staff of long-term care facilities, and South Carolina state/local government employees and contractors who are critical to the administration of COVID-19 vaccinations and testing.

According to Publix website, the pharmacies will have vaccinations administered to eligible individuals, by appointment only, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual.

Customers with health insurance will need to bring their insurance card to their scheduled appointment to receive the Covid-19 vaccine at Publix. Medicare members have been instructed to bring their Medicare Part B card and customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.

Visit this link for a list of Publix stores providing the vaccination, and to access their online reservation system starting Tuesday at 6am.

Appointments cannot be made for the Covid-19 vaccine by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy.
